Dr. Leo McCormick will be exploring the various alternative healing modalities available to cancer patients. Dr. McCormick truly believes that he can make a difference in people’s lives through his practice of chiropractic. He began his career with pre-chiropractic education at Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA where he studied sciences such as organic and inorganic chemistry, biology, and physics. His doctorate was earned at the well-renowned Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. There he studied x-ray, bio-chemistry, human anatomy and physiology, diagnosis, and chiropractic adjusting techniques. He served an internship in patient care at the Palmer College Public Clinic where he was awarded the prestigious Gold Coat for his care and attention to patients. After graduating Cum Laude in 1987, he returned to open a practice in Wayne, PA. In 2001, he established his current practice in Pottstown and then opened a clinic in Elverson in 2008. Originally from the Norristown area, Dr. Leo married his college sweetheart, Christine Furstnau, of Phoenixville. They have been residents of Pottstown since 1989 and their 5 children are under regular chiropractic care. “I love this community and its people. We have been very happy here and our children have flourished.” As a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. McCormick has treated thousands of patients helping them to attain and maintain a healthy body and an active lifestyle. Primary emphasis is placed on spinal biomechanics and structure. He firmly believes that patient education and understanding is the key to delivering quality healthcare. “I love to talk about chiropractic and to encourage individuals to get actively involved in their own healthcare. I especially like to answer questions for those who are skeptics or who have had misunderstandings about what chiropractic can do for them.” Dr. McCormick is also an expert in the area of safety and injury prevention in the workplace. He is currently on various panels for businesses and corporations seeking to enhance their work environment. As a public speaker, he has delivered community workshops and seminars on wellness.
