How Neuromuscular Thermography Makes Pain Patterns Visible
Chronic pain has a way of being invisible – normal X-rays, unremarkable MRIs, and yet the pain is real. What many patients do not know is that pain-related physiology often leaves a measurable trace: temperature asymmetries and vascular changes in the affected region, produced by the autonomic nervous system.
Neuromuscular thermography images that trace. Under TDI’s standardized bilateral protocols, an infrared camera documents how warmth is distributed across symptomatic and asymptomatic sides – objectively, visually, and repeatably. For treating physicians, that is a data layer examination and structural imaging do not measure; skin temperature asymmetry is among the signs clinicians weigh when evaluating conditions like CRPS/RSD. For patients, it is often the first time their pain has shown up on an image.
A thermogram does not diagnose CRPS, nerve injury, or any pain condition – diagnosis belongs to your treating clinician, with all their tools. What we provide is disciplined adjunctive documentation: standardized views, controlled conditions, marked regions of interest, and interpretation by a Board-Certified Clinical Thermologist, in a report built for clinical correlation.
