What Is Lower Body Thermography?
From the lumbar spine to the soles of the feet, lower body thermography documents the heat patterns of your lower back, hips, thighs, knees, calves, ankles, and feet – a region where circulation, nerve function, and mechanical strain all leave physiological signatures. The camera never touches you; it simply records the infrared energy your body emits, in a series of standardized bilateral views.
Patients book this study for all kinds of reasons: nagging sciatic-type discomfort, legs that feel different from each other, feet that run cold, an athletic body they want documented while it feels good. Whatever brings you in, the deliverable is the same – an objective, visual record of your lower-body heat patterns, interpreted by a Board-Certified Clinical Thermologist and written as an adjunct to whatever examination and testing your healthcare provider considers appropriate. A thermogram won’t diagnose the cause of a symptom, but it shows something no structural test measures: how warmth is actually distributed across your body, side to side.
