2013 CRPS/RSD Walk for Awareness
September 21st marks the 2013 CRPS/RSD Walk For Awareness charity event hosted by Dr. Philip Getson and Health Through Awareness. Being held at the beautiful Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ, this event is aimed at promoting awareness for Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy – a painful neurological disorder that presently affects over 50,000 new individuals each year. Despite this staggering number CRPS/RSD is still a fairly unknown disorder. However, thanks to events like the CRPS/RSD Walk For Awareness the public is being educated, funds are being raised and the victims of this painful disorder are empowered with the support and hope they need to deal with this illness.
It’s this sense of hope, support and empowerment that makes this event such a success and why it’s so fitting that Judy Skeels and Toni Benecchi will be performing Wind Song live at this year’s CRPS/RSD Walk For Awareness. As the official anthem for the Health Through Awareness Breast Health Awareness group, this song acts as a powerful reminder of the hope and empowerment that women hold in the face of adversity.
Please join us at Cooper River Park to show your support and to enjoy a wonderful live performance of “Wind Song” by Judy Skeels and Toni Benecchi. If you can’t make it to the walk please visit RSDSA.org to make a contribution.
